BACKGROUND AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

BSc in Biology and PhD in Chemical Oceanography. Since 2021, I work as a technician in the development of methods for the purification and analyses of molecular biomarkers in deep-sea sediments for paleoceanographic reconstructions. In this context, I am in charge of the laboratory equipment used, which includes High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC) and Gas Chromatography/Mass spectrometry (GC/MS). In addition, during my PhD and former positions, I gained expertise in studying biogeochemical (BGC) changes in the ocean, particularly related with the CO2 system and dissolved oxygen, in the open ocean and also in coastal regions and marginal seas. From this experience, I also give support in the maintenance of monthly coastal time-series in the NW Mediterranean and the related data management, including data collection, analysis and quality control, processing and interpretation and generation of results to study ocean BGC processes within the framework of global change.
