BACKGROUND AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

BSc in Biochemistry, MSc in Advanced Microbiology and PhD in Marine Viruses. Since 2020, I work as a technician for the Simolab (SUMMIT-ERC project), being responsible for the laboratory maintenance and management, cruises preparation, support to students and cultures maintenance, among other duties. My laboratory expertise includes flow cytometry, DNA/RNA extractions, epifluorescence microscopy, cultures preparations and radioactivity analyses, amongst other techniques, to study the chemical communications and the interactions of the plankton microorganisms both from natural sea waters and cultures.
